Neo Classical
Image on left exemplifies a greater inclination towards classical motifs on ceiling and walls, luxurious marble floor, rather well- defined columns, and use of gold for door handles and down lights, roman empire ear wall art, and classical furniture.
Whereas in the image on the right side, the intricate elements have been toned down and much of the materials are modern including the lights, sofa styling, table, and rug, etc. Clearly there’s more than one way to manifest design!
Bedroom on the left has beautiful high ceiling. Both the ceiling and walls have layers and levels adding to the grandeur. The large bay windows is made modern by use of polished marble, and the furniture and lights are neither not too contemporary.
The bedroom on the right too has panelling on the wall and the oval side table is nostalgic. However, the bed, the hanging light, the switches and wooden flooring are all more modern than not.
Neo classical style celebrates simple to opulent use of materials and designs. The design on the left is rather understated except for the motif on the wall. The elegant use of brass around mirror and Satuario marble counter completes the look.
The second design uses a lot more marble, both on floor and wall and supports it nicely with a stylish chandelier as well as elegant WC and tall basin unit. Both constructs are a in different in complexity, yet beautiful!
In the kitchen shown, the “classical” aspects are evident in the ceiling with motifs, chevron patterned wooden flooring, and classical white panels with molding.
The “neo” (modern) part of this kitchen is slim framed glass, architectural lighting, marble countertops, and Contemporary PU painted black cabinets with built in appliances.
The accents in neo classical design language can be subtle to highly ornate. In the design on left – the accents are a mix of large vintage framed mirror, modern architectural lights, and a striking console table.
The hallway on the right is more contemporary with simpler POP work, modern ceiling lights, large powder coated MS frame glass door, and simpler console + stools.
